Could a man take a cheetah in hand to hand combat? Perhaps with a knife? Is this feasible?

I have an ongoing argument with a friend on the topic of one of Africa's big cats: cheetahs. I believe that it would be possible for a man to be able to defeat a cheetah in hand to hand combat, or lightly armed. Despite the cheetah's natural advantages, I believe that this is possible.
