Problem with the “Knife Combat Badge” for Battlefield 2?

I am 5500 points from a promotion to Master Sergeant with 13 knife kills. To get the promotion I must have an assortment of medals including the "Knife Combat Badge", which requires 7 knife kills (basic awarded with 7 kills). The problem is that I have not been awarded the "Knife Combat Badge" yet even though the limit has been exceeded. What is the deal? My stats are under the name aej119.
